Nearly 3500 years ago, the Lord God gave commandments to the prophet Moses about the clothes that the high priest must wear. The Lord God would keep a hidden myserty and symbolism inside the Hebrew high priests clothes in order to signify the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ some 1500 years later around 30-40 A.D. Exodus 28:33-34 And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about: A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about. The role of the high priest is to be holy in the first place. He must not be unclean and enter the tabernacle or temple of God. Because the glory of the Lord and his righteous judgement would strike the high priest dead. ( The priest must be subject to a holy life - they must sacrifice and dedicate their life to the Lord God by avoiding all the unclean evil practices in their neighbouring lands in Israel ) Hence a Hebrew high priest in the first place must be one of the sons of Aaron, who is from the tribe of Levi ( and hence the name 'Levites' ). If they are unholy they must be out of the presence of the Lord's tent and wait till they are sanctified. All the high priests and people who want to live a holy and God fearing life must be subject to the book of Leviticus where laws concerning uncleanness are warned by God so that people should not die in their uncleanness. And the bells that the high priest would wear in his garment would signify the bell sound ( a distinct frequency ) that would remind people outside the Temple that the priest is still alive inside the most holy place making atonement for the sins of the people. In the same way, the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal High Priest who is spotless and without sin. He atoned for our sins by shedding his blood and eventually he he is in heaven and pleads for our evil lifestyle and sins with his blood just like the levite priest. And we know that he is alive solely because of the manifestation of the Holy Spirit in speaking tongues. Which is again, a frequency of sound, just like the bell model in Exodus 28. "Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" - Hebrews 4:14-16 P.S : The pomegranate is yet another hidden symbolism in Exodus 28, that signifies the kingly authority of Jesus ( the pomegranate has a crown on top) and how he shed his blood (red color) in order to signify to the Jewish people that Jesus is their Messiah. ------------------------------------------------------------ All material used in this video are for study purposes ( literary and symbolic ) means.
