The Mayor who is terminally ill buys an elixir of life which is supposed to cure you of any disease and keep you healthy enough to live a 100 years for $50,000. He then receives an anonymous phone call advising him not to take the potion as it is poisonous and will kill him. Unsure whether to risk taking the elixir he hires a private detective to investigate the man who sold it to him. August 23, 1951
